Hey Just returned from a recent trip to the lake where as well as working managed to get a few days fishing in, which turned out to be defferently worth a try as broke my P.B twice in 3 days ;D The fish turned out to be pretty lively for the time of the year, but am thinking it was due tto the good weather during the day, with the temp getting up to 16'C at its highest. the fishing dropped off as the day went on with the temp getting quite low during the night and the fish almost stopped biting after 11 ish. most fish fell to a single 15mm fish meal boilie on a small bed of pellets fished at close range. had the odd fish from distance but the majority being close in around 5-10 yards out. Heres a pic of a fish caught during the trip Hopefully going back in May and break the P.B again. Richard (Owners Son)

hi
i would recommend fish meal, squid, mussel or tutti fuity boilies which are working well at the moment, i recommend fishing then on a small bed of pellets and not to over feed the swim as it tends to draw the smaller carp in, another nice tip which i found works well if you dont mind getting up 2 early is to walk to the other side of the lake and stalk the carp, i tend to either free line a boiler with a handful of pellets or float fish for them, both ways work well with the carp fighting really well in the shallows. hope is helps and if you got any other questions im happy to answer them for you.
Richard
